ECA’s data updates in 2023 and 2024
Hear about the latest developments in ECA’s data. With a specific focus on the APAC region, discover the key changes associated with critical allowances and benefits provisions as well as the potential compliance challenges to be aware of in 2024. 

This session will touch on the following discussion points:

  • Key changes in assignment related allowances (e.g. COLA and Location (Hardship) Allowances) in locations of note in the region; 
  • Which assignment-related benefit costs have increased most in 2023, or are forecast to do so in 2024, and the reasons why; and 
  • Major changes in immigration, social security and tax legislation that have an impact on managing Global Mobility in the region.

Speakers

Lee Quane - Regional Director - Asia 
Lee Quane is ECA's Regional Director of Asia. He is responsible for managing Sales and Client Services in Asia, and provides consultancy to multinational companies in the region. Based in ECA’s Hong Kong office since 2003, Lee previously worked for the company in London, where he managed Location Ratings, co-ordinating research and product development. He also worked closely with multinational organisations on allowance reviews, updates and crisis management.

Mark Harrison- Associate Director - Asia
Mark is ECA's Associate Director of Asia. He is responsible for overseeing Client Services in Asia and provides consultancy to multinational companies in the region. Based in ECA’s Hong Kong office, Mark previously worked for the company in London, where he managed the Remuneration Services team, researching and analysing expatriate salaries around the world.
